Listening to Christmas music and wrapping
Just wanted to share a website http://share.mog.com/a/clk/4Bb9F really nice tunes and Wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Missing my son Nathan who is in Sinapore with the Marines more than ever! As I get older I wish I had spent more time loving my family members and less time worrying over gifts. So glad I have a family to love and who love me back!

Flickring around the web and the blustery day
I grew up mostly in Big Wyoming Wonderful Wyoming...That is part of its state song... I can hear it in my head as I type this...... anyway today is especially cold and windy and it reminds me of two things...... home (Wyoming) which even though I have lived in Indiana longer than I lived there, its still home and that I need a hair cut. Here's bad story telling Tina style.
I walk our doxie's daily and then I have to liter patrol after them. 2 hands, 3 doxies on tangled leashes, and my hair blowing in my face! Arghhhhhhh, I know I should A. tie it back before we go out B. put on a damn hat or C. keep it cut short enough that it can't reach my mouth! Just picture it stopping, trying to coax the little doggie bag open with one hand, holding a bag already, trying not to get it close to my face, while I push my hair away from my mouth with the hand that has the dog leashes wrapped around it. I look like an idiot! But I pick up their poop, unless its in our yard :)
Onward to the flickring...the next step in the 23 things was to set up a flickr account. I actually like photobook however I did set up flickr and I added a few fall pictures of my Marine Nate that his friend Aubrey B. took when he was home on leave at Happy Hollow Park here in West Lafayette. I also uploaded one other my husband took of a bridge in Brown County I am including them below. Happy viewing and pondering my scattered thoughts!

Traveled to Hobart today and RSS news feeds
Several months ago, my parents-in-law had a tragic fire and lost everything and their home of 14 yrs. The true blessings.. no one was hurt and they had renters insurance, but their old apartment complex was starting to become dumpy and they(the owners) behaved very shady. They wouldn't move to where we live(my in-laws) and we won't force them to so, they did find a new place. It is larger and it seems very nice and they seem happy! We went up today, to see the new place and have breakfast with them, so Nate could see them and give them a few pictures. We also went to Gary proper, and saw my husband's real Dad at his apartment, and he is ok, but that is a whole novel of a story. Anyway, before this becomes one of my untold half told stories, my real reason for checking in is to talk about RSS feeds.
One of the assignments is to learn about RSS feeds, and add a few to my google reader. Well had I known about them during football these past years, I would have saved myself loads of time going from site to site looking up scores, and finding the comments sections, I wanted to cuss about! That, I think is the coolest thing about the RSS feeds. They are shortcut favorites to sites, right to the section, you want that are updated. No more broken outdated links! That is nice, for alot of my favorite authors too! The reason I mentioned my in-laws first, here's the bad story telling if you were wondering.....my fathers-in-law, both, like to talk with me about stuff, one about cooking, the other about sports. Now I can be up to date about their favorite teams, and TV cooks before I see them!
Now, libraries can use these feeds by keeping up with authors, newsfeeds, and the newest popular media. They also can set up their own feed so patrons can follow their calendar and other events at the library.
I promised some pictures to liven up my page and here is one of myself and my family taken in California at Huntington Beach this past spring. More bad stories later.....

My new job and 23 things
Last April, I lost my job. It was a job I had LOVED. It had been a really good fit for me as a person and for our familial situations. Anyway I spent the summer sorta looking for work and then I started to feel nervous about not working because the job market is still tight. I finally did find the perfect job for me! I went to work for the TCPL Klondike Branch. It is 5 short minutes from my house and working here is the start of a brand new chapter in my adult life. It is the first non-retail job I have ever had.
One of my new assignments at my new job, I like saying that, my new job! Is called 23 things. It is a web based learning opportunity, that will turn all of us at the library into savvy internet users! So this second post lets you know why I kinda started this whole blogging thing. I should have read the instructions for the setting up your blog first. Another shortcoming lol. I don't always read the directions first!

Picking up Nate tonight!
For my first post let me say a quick howdy, introduce myself and let you know what is going on with me tonight.
Hi, How are ya, I'm Tina--- biblo-manic, mom, woman, cook, smart-ass, lover of a raggle-taggle mix of music and purses and kitsch. I adore my husband and my three great kids. They are the loves of my life, truly the best things I have ever done! I also love any and all things Daniel Craig, good tequila, and gravy but we will talk about that later.
So I talk in abundance usually gesturing with my hands, so annoying and I know it, and want to stop. I swear constantly, it's past being a habit, also annoying and embarrassing to me and my children. I am an eternal pessimist who dreams of becoming an optimist.
I can have wicked evil tongue that comes from a brush fire temper my husband calls the "Boyles" curse, time will tell how hard paved my pathway is. I take life personal and I love deeply!
Tonight, our oldest child, Nate is flying home for two weeks from California. He is stationed at Camp P. in the USMC. As I add to this and learn to navigate I will add pictures. We are super excited to see him!!!
